BIBLE CLASS 97 | CHAPTER 15:25 – 15:40 | THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES

During his earthly ministry, Christ taught the law. In Acts, believing Jews who were saved under the kingdom gospel continued to keep the law. (Acts 10:14& 21:20. Also, Hebrews 8:13, written in the Acts time frame, says the Old Covenant “is ready to vanish away.”

But through the Apostle Paul, the risen Christ revealed “the end of the law” (Rom 10:4) and salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of Christ alone, apart from the law and apart from works. In Romans 3:21-28 Paul says this:

“BUT NOW the righteousness of God without the law is manifested . . . Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe. . . Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood . . . a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”
