Prophecy says that the ascended Christ was to sit at the Father’s right hand until he made his enemies his footstool.5 The fact that Stephen saw him standing indicated that Jesus Christ was ready to initiate the time of judgment. 6 And, indeed, the next prophesied event was the Great Tribulation, “the time of Jacob’s trouble.”
