The Acts of the Apostles; Peter says that Acts 2 is “the last days” prior to the kingdom, as prophesied by Joel. (It is NOT said to be the first days of the Body of Christ.) Pentecost was one of the three times each year when Jewish men from every nation came to Jerusalem. These Jews were Peter’s audience. The Holy Ghost, through Peter, indicted Israel for the rejection of their Messiah. He said that they “by wicked hands have crucified and slain” the “Prince of life.” Peter tells them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins . . . Save yourselves from this untoward generation.” (The “generation of vipers,” the apostate leaders of Israel).
