The Bible begins by saying that God created the heaven and the earth. Throughout the Bible these two realms are distinct. When speaking of creation, God does not use the word “universe” but, instead, specifies “the heaven and the earth.” Bible confirms that God created all things in heaven and on earth by and for his son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Even in the eternal state, the distinction between heaven and earth will remain in “a new heaven and a new earth.”
