The Old Testament spoke about, and the gospels focused on, God’s plan to reclaim the earth through the kingdom promised to Israel. This plan had been spoken about “by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began.” In contrast, the Apostle Paul writes about God’s plan to reclaim the heavenly places through the church, the Body of Christ. He calls the things he speaks of “the revelation of the mystery” (Romans 16:25). This is what he says in Eph 3:2-3: “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery.
