The Old Testament spoke about, and the gospels focused on, God’s plan to reclaim the earth through the kingdom promised to Israel. This plan had been spoken about “by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began.” In early Acts, Peter tells Israel, “all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.”
